Who you are and what you were looking for when you started training with me?
I am a mom of 3 children, working full time and attending graduate school while working 15 hours a week for my internship. I was looking to improve my health, make working out enjoyable again because sometimes it felt like just one more thing on the to-do list, and I wanted to learn exercises that would translate to me being able to do them at home with limited equipment. Finding a trainer with a flexible schedule was a must, and Matt was extremely flexible with his hours and made it very convenient for me to fit into my busy schedule.

What training at CORE Fitness Camps & Training was like (the energy, feeling, etc)?
I’ll admit I was a bit embarrassed at first because it had been so long since I had worked out and I was self-conscious but Matt was incredibly professional and made me feel good about where I was at. I worked out with him at his home gym and it was perfect! We incorporated the machines along with exercises using free weights or body resistance so I could learn  how to modify exercises when I didn’t have the proper equipment or access to a gym. We always had enjoyable conversation and listened to good music that kept me motivated while working out. Matt really took the time to hear my goals for working out and what I wanted to get out of our time together. I felt extremely comfortable working with him and really enjoyed my sessions! I will definitely sign up for more sessions when I have more time in my schedule!

What results have you seen (as quantifiable as possible - weight loss, strength, performance, etc)?
I could feel how much stronger I was getting throughout the time I worked with Matt and I noticed that work tasks that normally caused a lot of back pain and soreness were less painful because of my increased core strength. My flexibility also increased as well as my coordination and balance.

Who you would recommend training with me?
Matt is extremely knowledgeable and his prices are very reasonable considering the level of experience he has. Working out in his home gym was so convenient and I felt less self-conscious than I would have if I were having to work out in front of a lot of other people. I think Matt would be a great trainer for someone regardless of their fitness level or goals. He is clearly very experienced and knowledgeable and the workouts he planned were always different so I never got bored.  I would highly recommend Matt with CORE fitness training to anyone looking for individual or group training sessions!

Who you are and what you were looking for when you started training with me?
I was looking for a trainer who is knowledgeable in weight training, balance and agility.  I hate doing the same ole routines.  In order to make change, your exercises and training should always be progressive.

What training at CORE Fitness Camps & Training was like (the energy, feeling, etc)?
Matt is always positive and helpful.  He is very supportive and understanding.  He’s not the kind that yells at you, but he does give you the confidence that you “CAN” do certain exercises that you may think you’re not quite ready for, so with a little push, he just moves you forward.  Matt is calm and purposeful when he plans out your exercise.  It’s always a safe and fun time with Matt.

What results have you seen (as quantifiable as possible - weight loss, strength, performance, etc)?
My workouts and performance is gradually increasing.  My balance has improved from 30 seconds to over a minute double leg & eyes closed.  Single-leg balance has improved from 15 seconds to 30 seconds and with my eyes closed;  I can do single arm bench press with 20 lbs, when I started at 8lbs before I started working with Matt.

Who you would recommend training with me?
Anyone who is looking for a safe place to workout if they are just not a “gym” person.  Kids that are involved in sports that need a little more training with their biomechanics and agility.  I would recommend geriatric people who just want to maintain a healthy body and the busy individual who has all the equipment at home, but don’t know what to do with it.  I highly recommend Matt as your trainer.  His positive energy and knowledge will help you reach all your goals #GAINS

Who you are and what you were looking for when you started training with me?
My name is Samantha, I’m a flight attendant and business owner. My goal in working with Matt was keeping me self accountable to great weekly workouts and learning how to create workouts on my own while on the road.

What training at CORE Fitness Camps & Training was like (the energy, feeling, etc)?
Matt is extremely knowledgeable and methodical in his training style. He verified your skill level and checks in for injuries to keep you safe, then he curates a workout just for you! Long term the workouts are tough and satisfying! The energy is high, the encouragement is frequent and the results speak for themselves!

Who you would recommend training with me?
I recommend personal training with Matt for everyone! Haha but more specifically people who are new to the gym scene and need guidance in how to properly train your body. I also would recommend people who need help staying accountable to their health and fitness goals. Matt is excellent for these things!

Who you are and what you were looking for when you started training with me?
Hi. I'm Jessica and I'm 45 years old. I connected with Matt when I was looking for a trainer shortly after moving to the area. I was used to working out in a big chain gym, so working out at Matt's home gym was a welcomed change.

What training at CORE Fitness Camps & Training was like (the energy, feeling, etc)?
I love that I don't feel like I'm just a client to Matt. I started to see and, more importantly, feel changes within the first 3 weeks. I'm not one to weigh myself often and prefer to go by how I feel and look. I loved that my clothes were fitting better and I was feeling more confident. And I knew I was making progress when others started to notice.  In fact, I was working on getting Matt to teach small group fitness at my gym at work due to my coworkers seeing my progress, but then the pandemic hit.

Who you would recommend training with me?
Matt has kept in touch throughout the pandemic and continues to encourage me to stay healthy.  He is the most genuine trainer I've worked with and I can't thank him enough for his guidance and friendship.

Who you are and what you were looking for when you started training with me?
I’ve been working with Matt for the last 7 years. Initially I was looking to stay in shape as I got older.

What training at CORE Fitness Camps & Training was like (the energy, feeling, etc)?
I find that the workouts are very energetic, he listens to me so he knows how I’m feeling during the process. If I have any aches or pains, he takes that into consideration and I find that I’m exhausted at the end of every workout. The results I’ve had is that I’m in the best shape of my life. I find it helps me keep my weight in check but mainly builds on my strength. As I get older, I find I’m able to maintain a lot of the fitness that I had when I was younger.

Who you would recommend training with me?
Matt helps me stay motivated to keep doing so. He’s always punctual, he’s never cancelled and we always have a lot of fun during our workouts. I would recommend anybody to workout with Matt. He’s a lot of fun to workout with and I look forward to work with him in the future.
